Wow, that was intense. It was hard to "watch" unresisting Jack get pummeled like that. He did a really brave and good thing, allowing himself to be a punching bag until all the venom was out of Ianto's system, and Ianto will never know it.
Those last few sentences are chilling in how clinical they are. Jack really is dedicated to his team--I'd say that goes waaay above and beyond duty.
