Read some of your fics ( great work btw !) and stumbled onto this post.. and the second one gave me an idea so I thought i´d leave it here.. ( have no time to write though.. always too many ideas too little time)
re the second fic: Let Owen stumble after Jack into an alley and find him dead and Ianto hurt by a Weevil. Let him save Ianto and maybe witness Jack coming back to life which of course gives him the shock of a lifetime. You could have him remember bits of his Torchwood past then or later ( and you could also add mystery to it if you imply that Jack might have been dead while Owen saw him first- which you either leave in mystery or explain that Jack later goes back in time ) Maybe Jack rejects him the first time but they meet again and he becomes a full team member again as he remembers. Torchwood is Owens destiny and not even Jack can or wants to change that in the end.
So yep .. just a little idea .. steal away if you want to and let me know if you want more cause I love to brainstorm..
